Your pet must be microchipped before travelling to Singapore. Pets must be implanted with the standard, non-encrypted, ISO-11784/11785 pet microchip.
Your pet must be vaccinated against rabies before travelling. The vaccine must be administered at least 6 months before travelling.
Your pet must also be vaccinated against the following diseases at least two weeks before travelling:
Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Hepatitis.
Feline Calicivirus, Feline Rhinotracheitis, Feline Panleukopenia.
A licensed veterinarian must complete the Veterinary Certificate for Singapore within 7 days of your arrival into the country. The health certificate must be endorsed by MOCCAE. Your pet’s microchip number must be mentioned on the rabies titer test and health certificates. You must also apply for a dog license and an import license from the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) at least 30 days before your journey to Singapore.
Pet must have a blood sample taken at least 30 days after the rabies vaccination and at least The results of the blood test must show that the vaccination was successful (rabies antibody level of at least 0.5 IU/ml). Titer test sample must be drawn at least 6 months before entering Singapore. Pets must also be treated against internal and external parasites within two to seven days before travelling to Singapore.
Pet’s must serve a mandatory quarantine period of 30 days when landing in Singapore. All pets entering Singapore are quarantined at the Sembawang Animal Quarantine Station. Reservations for quarantine must be made at least 3 moths before your planned date of entry.
Singapore has certain breed-specific legislation which prevents them from travelling into the country. The following breeds of dog and any crossbreed puppies are banned in Singapore: Pit Bulls, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog, Akita, Boerboel, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Tosa, Neapolitan Mastiff, Perro de Presa Canario.
